In the upcoming period, partial elections will be held in ISDS-UB for the positions of School Director, member of the doctoral school council – doctoral supervisor (1 position) and member of the doctoral school council – doctoral student (1 position), to complete the 2021-2026 mandate. The new ISDS director will automatically become a member of the school council.
- Submission of candidacies: 18.09.2025 – 24.09.2025 (on the last day, until 14.00), by email sent to the ISDS secretariat (isds@g.unibuc.ro).
- Conduct of partial elections: 29.09.2025 or 30.09.2025, online.
- Details on how to connect to the voting platform that ensures the confidentiality of the vote will be sent before 29.09.2025.
For the positions of director of the doctoral school and member of the doctoral school council, PhD supervisor, full professors of the University of Bucharest have the right to elect and be elected as doctoral supervisors. Applications will be accompanied by a CV and a verification sheet of the fulfillment of the minimum standards for habilitation. The application for the position of director of the doctoral school will also be accompanied by a management plan.
For the positions of doctoral student, member of the doctoral school council, all doctoral students have the right to elect and be elected, including those who have submitted their thesis, but for whom the ministerial order for the award of the doctorate has not yet been issued on the date of the elections. A doctoral supervisor and a doctoral student supervised by him or 2 doctoral students with the same doctoral supervisor cannot be part of the doctoral school council at the same time.
- Endorsement of the results of the partial elections by the faculty / doctoral school council: 01-03.10.2025
- Validation of the results of the elections by the University Studies Council: In session or by electronic vote: period 06 – 08.10.2025
- Validation of the partial elections by the Senate of the University of Bucharest: Senate meeting of October 15, 2025
